DESCRIPTION:Held annually at Dalesburg Lutheran Church north of Vermillion\, the Annual Midsommar at Dalesburg has been held for more than 150 years. This celebration of Scandinavian and immigrant heritage includes musical entertainment\, a Scandinavian Smorgasbord and the raising of the Midsommar Pole. Activities start at 2 p.m. and the dinner is served 4:30-6:30 p.m. Admission: General activities and programming are free. There is a fee for the smorgasbord dinner.\n\n\n\n2:00 pm - Jaerv\n\nFive-piece band from Gothenburg\, Sweden\n\nVisit www.jaerv.com\n\nSponsored by the American Scandinavian Foundation (New York)\n\n\n\n3:30 pm - Jaerv & the Dalesburg Spelman\n\nJaerv and the Local Southeast South Dakota Scandinavian Group\, playing folk music from the Nordic countries featuring fiddles\, guitar\, nyckelharpa (keyed harp)\, and other folk instruments and voice. \n\n\n\n4:00 pm to 9:00 pm - Dalesburg Food Stand\n\nServing homemade pies\, ice cream\, cookies\, Potatoes Korv\, and Fruktsoppa\n\n\n	Up In Smoke\n\n	\n		Yankton-based food truck serving Sammies\, hot dogs\, and BBQ sides\n	\n	\n	Arts & Crafts Area\n	\n		Featuring local vendors and artisans\n	\n	\n	Children's Activities\n	\n		Inflatables\, yard games and more!\n	\n	\n\n4:30 pm to 6:30 pm - Scandinavian Meal\n\nIndividual meal of Swedish Meatballs\, buttered potatoes\, salads\, and choice of bread\n\nTickets: $12.00 per meal\n\nTickets may be purchased at the door (no pre-sales).
