DESCRIPTION:Sharron Ahtone Harjo (Kiowa) will present this year's lecture on "Kiowa Plains Artist of Ledger and Painting styles" on September 19\, 2019\, 7 pm to 8 pm in Farber Hall\, Old Main on the University of South Dakota campus. A public reception for Ahtone Harjo will immediately follow the lecture in the Oscar Howe Gallery\, 8 pm to 9pm. The 2019 Oscar Howe Memorial Lecture is sponsored by the Oscar Howe Memorial Association and the College of Fine Arts at the University of South Dakota. The Audience is reminded of the Northern Plains Indian Art Market featuring original Native America Art and is located at the Hilton Garden Inn- Downtown Sioux falls South Dakota\, September 21-22\, 2019. Ahtone Harjo is one of this year's jurors.
