Cloddy is a biography about Kim's father Dwane "Cloddy" Clodfelter\, former men's basketball coach at the University of South Dakota. Coach Clodfelter was a pioneer in the integration of college basketball during the 50's and 60's. From humble beginnings\, Cloddy grew up in a small town in South Dakota during the Great Depression. After graduating from Woonsocket High School in 1936\, he earned a two-year teaching degree at Southern Teachers College and then began a forty-five-year teaching and coaching career.
