DESCRIPTION:America 250: Our Veterans\,\n\nTheir Stories - Chosen and Told\n\nby VHS Students\n\nEach year\, American History teacher Lenni Billberg\n\nguides students through this impactful assignment\,\n\nencouraging them to select a veteran who holds personal\n\nsignificance whether a family member\, family friend\, or\n\ncommunity connection. Through interviews and research\,\n\nstudents uncover stories of service and sacrifice.\n\nThis year\, students Sagan Marcus\, Eleanor Meyer\,\n\nand Gavin Ma will present oral reports sharing the stories\n\nof the veterans they chose to honor. Their work reflects\n\nresearch and a meaningful personal connection to soldiers\n\nwhose stories shape our nation and our community.\n\nThese presentations offer more than a look at history \n\nthey preserve it. By capturing and sharing these firsthand\n\naccounts\, VHS students help ensure that the experiences\n\nof veterans are remembered and valued for generations to\n\ncome.
