This workshop is designed for children and teenagers aged 8-18. Ages 8-12: 10:00 am - 11:00 am: (Limit 20 participants) 'Telling Stories with our Bodies\,' taught by Mimsi Janis (Ages 8-12 only. In this workshop students will use their bodies to explore gestures and images\, and use them to improvise original stories. Students will learn basic components of visual storytelling and apply them in small group performances.) 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm: (Limit 20 participants) 'Acting Basics!' taught by Alyssa Anderson (Ages 8-12 only. This workshop will focus on the four main tools of acting: Concentration/Observation/Memorization/Imagination. Using these four points students will do exercises that help us understand what these tools are and how to utilize them properly when we're acting.) 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm: (Limit 20 participants) 'Shakespearean Costumes and Crafts\,' taught by Caitlin Quinn (Ages 8-12 only. Learn about the fashion and theatrical costumes of Shakespeare's England. Participants will also make and decorate their own Elizabethan coin purse.)
