I will bring a fresh perspective to the school board with my professional experience of working in schools for the past 13 years.\n\n\nAbout Carol Voss-Ward (Incumbent):\n\nMy name is Carol Voss-Ward and I am running for re-election to the Vermillion School Board. My current work is as the coordinator of Coyote Career Kickstart\, a program supporting students from rural high schools with career services and peer mentoring I also served as director of TRIO Student Support Services\, a program that supports undergraduate students who are first-generation\, low-income\, or with disabilities. \n\n\n\nIn my past three years as a school board member\, I have served on the Finance\, Policy\, Building\, and Vermillion Public School Foundation committees. I helped craft reasonable COVID policies that kept our school doors open\, supported our investment in a new elementary school\, helped to bring increases in teacher and staff pay\, and worked to protect vulnerable students. My goal as a school board member is and will continue to be to make wise\, thoughtful decisions on behalf of all students and families in the district and be approachable to all stakeholders in our district\, including students\, parents\, teachers\, administrators\, and the community.
