DESCRIPTION:The Polar Plunge is an annual fundraiser presented by South Dakota Law Enforcement as part of the year-round Law Enforcement Torch Run events to benefit Special Olympics South Dakota. Polar Plunges offer a unique opportunity for individuals\, organizations and businesses to support Special Olympics South Dakota athletes and programs by raising money and jumping into frigid waters. Throughout 2017\, our Plunge crew will be traveling across the state to 9 different communities with one goal in mind   raise funds for Special Olympics South Dakota! \n\nHere's how it works: Participants raise a minimum of $100 and take a dip into the frigid waters at one of our 9 event locations. Sounds simple\, but Polar Plunges are so much more than that. They are fun and exciting events that you really have to experience to understand.\n\nSo grab a friend\, co-worker\, family member or just go it alone! Register Today for your chance to start a tradition like no other. Not just anyone can say they have taken the Plunge to be "Freezin' for a Reason!"
