DESCRIPTION:The second annual Vortex Film Festival kicks up dust at the Coyote Twin in downtown Vermillion Sept 26 28! We'll have 36 short films\, 5 submitted features\, and 3 marquee features on screen throughout the weekend\, plus three film-craft workshops. A question & answer session with Coffey and a private reception at The W Social House will follow the screening. Saturday night\, we have a five-year anniversary screening of the pandemic-set thriller Before the Fire by South Dakota daughter Charlie Buhler. Following the Q&A with Buhler\, all festival guests are welcome to join us for a festival afterparty at XIX Brewing Co.\nVortex Film Festival is hosted by the Vermillion Cultural Association and supported in part by a grant from the South Dakota Arts Council. South Dakota Arts Council support is provided with funds from the State of South Dakota\, through the Department of Tourism\, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
