Description
Tracey Zephier, a citizen of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, serves as General Counsel and Director of Legal Strategies at NDN Collective, a nonprofit organization that works to build the collective power of Indigenous peoples, communities, and nations. Prior to joining NDN Collective she was Attorney General for the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. She has also practiced as a private attorney, focusing on tribal/state relations, jurisdictional issues, financial and real estate transactions, education, and community development matters for tribes. Tracey has shared her knowledge and experience with students at USD Knudson School of Law and at Oglala Lakota College as an adjunct professor. She holds a Juris Doctorate from Yale Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration and accounting.
