Description
How can we make our urban environments safer for the birds that call them home?
Join us for an insightful evening co-presented by Greening Vermillion and the Sierra Club. We will be joined by guest speakers Marla Kerr, President of the Loess Hills Audubon Society, and David Hoferer, Professor of Biology at Briar Cliff University.
Our experts will discuss:
-
Human-Made Hazards: Identifying the primary challenges birds face in our cities.
-
Light Pollution: The "how" and "why" behind mitigating light pollution to protect migratory and local species.
-
Actionable Steps: Simple ways we can work together to create a bird-friendly community.
This event is free and open to the public. Whether you are an avid birder or just curious about local conservation, we hope to see you there!
