Description
The W. H. Over Museum invites you to a four day, hands-on workshop designed for the curious. The combination of small class size (no more than 15 students) and the four day course length makes this a unique course that allows students to dive deep into the history of photography and explore the evolution of photography over the past 200 years.
Dates: July 21-24, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Ages: 12 and up, adults are welcome
Fee: $50 (includes all supplies and film processing) scholarships available

Day 1: Origins and early techniques. Hands-on activity -- camera obscura.
Day 2: Glass plates cameras. Hands-on activity -- cyanotypes (sun prints). You are encouraged to bring your own plant matter or other 2D objects from home to experiment!
Day 3: Mechanical cameras. Hands-on activity -- each student will receive a Brownie camera to take photos during class. Photo contest will follow.
Day 4: Flash photography. Group picture outside with the historical camera.
