MOSQUITO CONTROL FOGGING THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF VERMILLION

(Vermillion, SD) The City of Vermillion Parks Department will be conducting a spraying effort for mosquitos one night between July 1 and July 3 based on the best weather and wind conditions.

The fogging will be administered in the northwest section of town, from N Dakota St west to Stanford St and from Clark St north to Highway 50. Minimal residential areas will be included in this fogging.

All spraying is subject to change due to weather conditions.

This targeted spray effort is being conducted in response to increased numbers of mosquito populations and ahead of the Independence Day fireworks show. The City of Vermillion Mosquito Control Program follows a phased-response guideline created by the CDC that is used to determine when spray events and other treatments are needed.

Please email the City at parksandrec@cityofvermillion.com if you would like your property not to be sprayed. If you have emailed in the past years, please email us again to ensure that our list is up to date.
