Vermillion Community Theatre (VCT) is set open its summer production of “Shrek The Musical” on Friday, July 11 at 7 p.m. with additional performances on July 12 at 7 p.m., July 13 at 2 p.m. and July 14 at 7 p.m., all at Vermillion High School’s Thomas H. Craig Center for Performing Arts.
Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased one of three ways.
Vermillion Community Theatre recommends purchasing tickets ahead of time at www.vermillioncommunitytheatre.org where patrons may select their own seats. Adult tickets are $20 and those for students in grades K-12 are $15.
Similar to years past, patrons may also purchase tickets at the door prior to a performance, however, VCT strongly recommends purchasing tickets before arrival to avoid any lines at the box office.
VCT is also offering three opportunities to purchase tickets in-person in the coming week:
- Tuesday, July 8: 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Vermillion High School
- Wednesday, July 9: 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Vermillion High School
- Thursday, July 10: starting at 5:30 PM at Thursdays on the Platz (downtown Vermillion)
VCT promises another delightful, family-friendly production. Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film, “Shrek The Musical” is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure, featuring all new music and a side-splitting script. “Shrek” brings all the beloved characters from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears.
